Starting and finishing at Nawori Sea View Bungalows, this is a full walking experience — you're on foot the entire time, moving through narrow forest paths, crossing rivers, and passing through traditional village life at every turn.<br><br></div><div>On the way to Limla, the trail passes a nasara, a traditional ceremonial site where you can see the stones used in cultural ceremonies and take in the presence of the towering old trees that surround it. Your local guides are with you throughout, pointing out flora, sharing stories, and cutting open wild fruits and nuts along the way. Bird song follows you through the forest, and there are good vantage points where the views open up across the landscape.<br><br></div><div>On the return, visit Orap Beach, where the river meets the sea. The streams near the beach are well suited for a swim. Then the trail crosses the Sanwir River, which has an interesting coconut bridge that you have to see to believe.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>All meals are provided across the two days — lunch, dinner and breakfast — prepared in the villages along the route using local ingredients. Expect fresh fish, prawns, yams, taro and laplap. Prawns are a regular feature on the menu. Rainwater catchments in the bush allow you to refill your water bottles along the way.<br><br></div><div>Overnight, you'll stay in a village homestay, sharing accommodation with a local family and sleeping under mosquito nets.
